A Day of Green Adventure with Happy Kids Preschool & Montessori
On October 5th, 2023, we celebrated National Tree Day in a vibrant and educational way at Happy Kids Preschool & Montessori. It was a day of planting, learning, and embracing the wonders of nature with our young learners.
What We Did:
Tree Planting: Our young nature enthusiasts planted a beautiful hazelnut tree, along with chestnuts, as part of our commitment to environmental education and sustainability. Each child had the opportunity to get their hands in the soil, plant their tree, and play an active role in caring for our planet.
Understanding Trees: We delved into the anatomy of trees and their vital role in our ecosystem. Through engaging and interactive activities, we learned about the various parts of a tree, from roots to branches, and the essential functions each part plays in the tree's life.
Joy of the Outdoors: The weather couldn't dampen our spirits as we embraced the great outdoors, taking full advantage of our heated cabins for comfort in all weather conditions. This allowed our little explorers to continue their outdoor adventure, even on cooler days.
Montessori Tree Puzzle: We challenged our young minds with the Montessori tree puzzle, further enhancing their understanding of trees and the world around them. Learning is always an adventure at Happy Kids!
Nurturing Our Seeds:
The Children now has their own tree to tend to and watch grow, giving them the joy of responsibility and an understanding of the time and care required to nurture life. It's a fantastic way to instill a love for nature and a sense of environmental stewardship from a young age.
At Happy Kids, we believe in the power of experiential learning, and we cherish every moment spent outdoors. National Tree Day was an opportunity to connect with the environment, foster a love for nature, and celebrate the beauty of trees.
